Freight Haul commenced as a business division of Yellow Jacket (Pty) Limited operating between Johannesburg and Durban . Its major area of operation was the transportation of containers.

In December 2002 the division was incorporated as a company styled Yellow Jacket JHB (Pty) Limited and began to run as a separate statutory entity.

In 2004 Mr Paul Botha acquired the entire shareholding in the company and changed its name to Freight Haul (Pty) Limited. Prior to this, Mr Paul Botha was involved in the running of huge transport companies for 20 years and therefore possessed solid experience in the logistics industry. His approach in managing the company is hands on and supported by a strong team of middle managers who are experts in their own areas of finance, risk, operations, training etc.

His philosophy is that with enough focus, the company is able to develop enough expertise to render quality and reliable service to its customers. The correctness of this philosophy has manifested itself in the phenomenal growth the company has experienced during the past 5 years.
